This is a list of my chief concerns I feel about my duty to you as a member
of this congregation of The Bishop Isaiah Jackson Worship Center.629 2nd Street
North, Birmingham, AL 35204, Phone: 205/250-5121. We that or in the Pastoral
care regard these commitments with seriousness, and will give ourselves to see
that they are realities of our congregational life.
I commit myself to teach and feed you the pure Word of God, knowing that it is
by the Word that you will grow to become the mature, perfected Believer that God
has called you to be in Him.
A. We are committed to counsel or correct you should you ever drift from the
truth. Gods Word tells pastoral leadership to reprove, rebuke and exhort with
all long-suffering and doctrine.
B. (II Timothy 4:2) To perform the marriage ceremony after due counsel with the
parties involved. The decision to perform the ceremony shall be the right and
responsibility of the Pastor. Qualifications for performing marriage shall be in
accordance with the laws of the State and God Word the law of this Church. We
are committed to doing everything lovingly possible to keep you in obedience to
the Lord Jesus Christ our God.
C. We are committing ourselves to pray for you. To visit homes of the Church and
the community, especially among the sick, aged, and others in need. We will
uphold you in regular intercessory, the pastor and elders, bringing your name
before Gods throne regularly.
D. We commit to counsel those who are under threat of marriage breakdown and
explore every possibility for reconciliation. To counsel bereaved families and
conduct appropriate memorial services.
E. We commit ourselves to stand by you in any time of need, burden or personal
crisis. To participate in the life and work of the community and in ecumenical
concerns and to lead the congregation to become so involved. You are never alone
if only you will let us know when the need arises.
F. We commit ourselves to love you. Jesus said that this trait would mark His
disciples in John 13:34, and we intend to live out that divine order of love. It
is not so much a matter of affection as commitment. Our total commitment is to
love serve and help you become the person God created you to be.
Pastoral Care
Pastoral supervision is vital for the health of Gods people. Pastors are
responsible for ministering to the needs of the whole community as well as to
the needs of the people of this church, We live to be equipping to fulfill the
ministry to all men in the church and out of the church that are in the world
which we live in to servants under the Lordship of Jesus Christ our God. A
pastoral care system is Gods system. (Exodus 18:21-27)
Pastors are given by Christ to the Church to watch over, feed, build up, care
for and equip the saints through personal sacrifice and diligence. (Eph.4:
11-12)
Pastors are accountable to God for the souls over whom they watch. (Heb. 13:17)
We believe it is essential to have a comprehensive pastoral strategy that meets
the needs of all the members of the congregation.

Bishop A. Isaiah Jackson, Sr.
