Pastor John E. Owens, II is the founding pastor of Christian Temple of Dallas. He is an ordained minister in the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. He is a district elder in the Texas State Council.
He earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Theology from Aenon Bible College. He attended DePaul University in Chicago. He later received his Bachelor of Science degree in Religious Education from Dallas Christian College and his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas. He also earned a Master of Science degree from the University of Texas at Dallas.
He has worked extensively as a financial analyst, budget analyst, and accountant in the banking, government, and non-profit sectors.
Pastor Owens is originally from Chicago, where he served as Illinois State Youth President and as ISYA Director of Evangelism. He had the honor of working with his father, Pastor John Owens, Sr., as assistant pastor of Greater Mt. Zion Church before relocating to Dallas, Texas. He is married to Rochelle L. Owens. They have five children, and eight grandchildren.
